about me
a brief bio...

I love colour, pattern and texture, whether is is on paper, made from glass, created from clay, or even a new fabric for my home. Born in Belfast, I moved across to the mainland in the 1980's to study at Manchester University (Man Met), I really hadn't meant to leave Belfast but I fell in love with the foundation course there on a visit. A sliding doors moment. The next year I moved south to study at at Kingston, completing a degree in Design and Illustration in 1986. Working first as a graphic designer, but later, after a decade at various central London design consultancies, I returned to illustration, principally with mosaic. I now run weekly courses, accept commissions and facilitate bespoke workshops.
I currently live in Saffron Walden in Essex, with my husband, two sons and two dogs. I work from a shed in the garden and borrow studio space for my courses nearby in Wimbish.
