Classes in Wimbish

MOSAIC CLASSES. If you would like to try this ancient, creative and somewhat addictive craft, I run courses from a studio in Wimbish, about 20 miles from Cambridge. Classes continue all year round. Make mosaic  table tops, jewellery, garden ornaments, mosaic pictures. We are a friendly group and have created many beautiful additions to our homes over the last decade and a half, we also enjoy our coffee breaks and have lunch out now and again!

The mosaic classes take place in a small barn at Pinkneys Manor - a farm in Wimbish, Essex. The studio overlooks a lovely garden and duck pond, there is plenty of parking.

MY WEEKLY CLASSES ARE VERY BUSY with regulars, but I do keep waiting lists and fit folk in around cancellations. Consider subscribing to my online course, it is an ideal way to get started before joining in with an actual class  - you can watch the videos, (no need to pay out on equipment) and is packed with tips about suppliers and what you need to get started with this fun craft. At just £25 it is modest outlay for a potential lifelong interest. Without commitment click on the home page for the link and try out the free lessons.

Everyone works at their own pace on their own projects. The classes are relaxed, creative and friendly, open to any ability.

I have introduced hundreds of people to this wonderful, ancient art. Those who can't come along have been introduced to the craft by my book, Stylish Mosaics or my 'how to' DVD, or by taking an online course

I learned a new skill, (made new friends) and filled many hours and the garden with lovely things.

Under your guidance I made a piece I am surprisingly proud of, underconfident artistically, yet I managed to make something that other people admire - amazing for me!

An art that doesn't require you to be able to draw suited me very well, the cutting was at first tricky and slow but I quickly gained confidence due to Anne's patience. The range of materials available is delightful and extensive. The studio is pleasant and light.
